The counselling of Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions (TNEA 2010) under the sports quota was started at Anna University on Monday. There are 79 self-financing engineering colleges holding valid approvals from the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It is also worth noting that along with these 79 colleges, 16 institutions including the Anna University and its constituent colleges are declared safe.

The complete schedule of TNEA 2010 or Tamil Nadu Engineering Admissions 2010 is given below

Counselling for Sports Quota – 28.06.2010
Counselling for Vocational Candidates – 29.06.2010 to 03.07.2010
Counselling for Differently Abled Persons – 04.07.2010
Counselling for Academic Candidates – 05.07.2010

According to the latest development, AICTE should take only a short notice to complete the process, as only new colleges require fresh approval. Existing colleges need approval only for new courses or increase in student intake.
